Sentosa Fright Nites

With the Halloween month looming near, Sentosa 4D AdventureLand prepares itself for a journey through a terrifying night of vengeful spirits, diabolic demons and cannibalistic zombies!

Presenting visitors with a different approach to the 4D rides, “TRAPPED” is a walking terror trail created in collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic students from the School of Architecture & Built Environment. “Trapped” is about a once angelic coryphée who perished under the death curse by a jealous ballerina who now lurks in the depths of a haunted trail, preying on innocent souls. Dead ballerinas and evil priests also join the vengeful spirit in her reaping, roaming the premises in search for souls to seize forever. “Trapped” has in-your-face confrontation which can make the walking trail all that more realistic.

A dead ballerina stations herself at the end of the trail, preventing guests from leaving the premises!

Once you’ve passed the dreaded trail, try out the ‘PANIC HOUSE’. This is a 4D ride where a charming property agent lures you to view a seemingly beautiful Victorian house up for sale, and then morphs into a grotesque monster in an attempt to trap your soul. Get tossed around as you try to avoid or run from flesh eating zombies and demons from the underworld! Using a high-definition and wide-screen projection with a state-of-the-art 6-axis motion system the ‘Panic House’ 4D ride is made up of 9 Cyclone capsules of 6 seats each.

If you’ve survived the Panic House, slay as many zombies without mercy in the interactive game of gore in the ‘THE GRIP OF THE UNDEAD’ 4D ride. With Full 3D imaging projection with in-theatre sound amplifiers for optimum experience, “The Grip of the Undead” 4D ride is made up of 20 motion-based seats that simulate the movement of the ride with motion-sensor guns attached to each seat. There is an additional smart trigger and scoring system that displays points of the top scorers on the screen.

While the interactive entertainment zone has been transformed into a terror trail, another addition to the mix is a unique augmented reality technology that has been introduced to enhance the Halloween experience. Created by Singapore Polytechnic students from the School of Digital Media and Infocomm Technology, this augmented experience involves photography where visitors snap a picture of themselves against a special backdrop using a smart phone app and find ghostly beings emerging beside them in the captured photo.
