Botak Jones – American Food in Singapore

American food hawker style… you don’t see that everyday!

Offering western cuisine from burgers and steak to gumbo and Cajun chicken, Botak Jones is a unique way of experiencing good food at decent prices.

With so many well established American franchises around the island, heading out for some authentic American cuisine can be quite an expensive affair. A simple burger could cost you approximately $22 and customers, more often than not leave only somewhat satisfied with the notion that it wasn’t really worth that much in the first place.

Botak Jones however, offers diners a big bite for a reasonable price. A cheeseburger with two sides would cost approximately $9.80 and will appease your craving for that thick juicy meat patty that you might have had all day. Ordering just a burger minus the sides is also possible while going MASSIVE is another option for those seeking a monstrous 5 inch 220 gram pure prime steer beef patty on a 5 inch sesame seed bun.

There is a general waiting time of 12 to 15 minutes as every burger is made to order. The added benefits to dining here is that the food contains no MSG and the bill carries no GST charge. Located mostly in outdoor coffee-shops (kopitiam’s) either near local housing or flats, Botak Jones is spread all over the island. Click here  for their locations and here for their menu.

If coffee-shops aren’t your style, head to BJ’s American Diner and Grill located at #01-01 312 Balestier Road that offers full restaurant service. The brainchild of Bernie Utchenik, Botak Jones is a great place for everything large and meaty!

A set meal – a cheeseburger with two sides! The spicy fries is a must try!
